X-periment! kicked
off science.09 with a bang! Held at Marina Square Central Atrium from
14-16 August 2009, the launch ceremony of X-periment! was officiated by
Mr S Iswaran, Senior Minister of State, Ministry of Education and Ministry of
Trade and Industry. With this year’s theme of “Ask Why”, 17 participating
organisations from the various research and tertiary institutions in Singapore
came together and displayed engaging hands-on experiments, quizzes and games.
The other highlight of X-periment! was the amazing “Crash Test Science” shows
performed by Dr Bunhead from the United Kingdom. He ingeniously presented and
educated the participants on the knowledge of liquid nitrogen and gases, such as
helium and nitrogen!
Undeniably, X-periment! was a great success!
