X-periment! and the Launch of Science.08 - 15 August 2008
Marina Square Central Atrium
Yes! It’s Mr Rhys Thomas again from USA for another round of amazing Science Circus demonstrations!
Following the overwhelming responses from the public during his shows at X-periment! (Marina Square from 15-17 August 2008), Mr Rhys Thomas was at the Science Centre to present a longer and more amazing version of his exciting show where he presented Newton’s law of motion thorough his juggling acts and engaging presentations. Participants learned about basic theory of gravity when Rhys juggled a bowling ball and a ping pong ball, they found out more about gyroscopic stability when he expertly spun the Chinese yo-yo and a funnel, they re-discovered the importance of the “centre of gravity” when he mounted a tall unicycle and they were introduced to the concept of inertia when Rhys pulled a tablecloth off a table filled with delicate porcelain objects!
It was a truly enjoyable learning experience for all that attended the shows.
Enjoy these memorable pictorial shots!
